Ik weet het al heel lang en toch verrast het me nog af en toe. Alles dient zich aan wanneer je eraan toe bent. Al duurt het af en toe erg lang :).

Zo ook in mijn werk: 35 jaar geleden kreeg ik van een prachtig mens en kunstenaar: Kees Kieft uit Kampen enkele potten met glasscherven en brokken omdat hij wist dat ik het materiaal waarmee hij werkte: glas en hars zo mooi vond. Vijfendertig  jaar heb ik de vier potjes meegesleurd, zelfs naar Frankrijk. Bijna had ik ze daar toch achtergelaten. Gelukkig niet! Het komt als een wonder van pas want nu weet ik waar ik het voor moet gebruiken: de Crystal Islands. Dank Kees Kieft – ergens daarboven.
